Elon Musk threatens to ban Apple products if OS adopts OpenAI
In the event that Apple decides to include OpenAI’s ChatGPT into its iPhone, iPad, and Mac operating systems, billionaire Elon Musk has vowed to ban Apple devices at his companies.
“Apple devices will not be allowed at my firms if Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level. That is an intolerable breach of security, as Musk emphasized in an X post dated June 10.
Musk even went so far as to say that guests entering Tesla, SpaceX, and other businesses he owns would have to have their Apple gadgets “stored in a Faraday cage.”
Musk denounced it as a “unacceptable security violation” and even hinted that tourists to his company’s headquarters would be affected by the Apple block.
